happy twenty bi-teen everyone!
A friend of mine posted a few of their new year's resolutions here and got me thinking about my own new year's resolutions, so here's a few going forward.
1. Read more. I've been better about reading again this past year, but I want to keep that up. More books. Specifically I want to read the rest of the Artemis Fowl series, The Hate U Give, Storm Runner, the Your Name manga, and pick back up on the Unwind series.
2. Write more original fiction. I have some ideas for short stories that I've never sat down to actually write and I have 20k of my nano project done. For specific goals I want to write 3 of these short story ideas down and finish the rough draft of my nano project.
3. Finish the next chapter of Born to Live, Made to Die over break and finish the next two stories in my "what is gender anyway?" series.
4. Apply for that job that I've been putting off applying for but would really like to get next semester. I just need to go ahead and do it. Maybe I'll get it, maybe I won't, but I need to try.
5. Research employment opportunities for the summer. I want to try to work for a summer camp, so I need to just go ahead and research and DO IT. No more excuses
6. Do at least one lesson on duolingo every day. If I want progress to happen on language learning, I need to just do it.
7. Go out and do more things. Take more risks. Have more fun. Just love life a little more.
8. I've been considering getting into making video essays for a few months, so I want to look more into how to create those and if it is something I want to pursue.
